On February 17th, 2009, my husband Shawn and I welcomed our twin daughters, Eliana and Bracha, into this world. Till that point this blog had been used to share pregnancy updates with friends and family and now it is used to share news and pictures of our budding family.

Bracha-ism
Background: Bracha is sitting on a stool in the corner on the porch, squeezed between the porch doors and metal gate, "reading" from a little toy Teudat Zehut (ID card) the kids made at gan.
Me: Bracha, are you okay?
Bracha: Yes, I'm davening. I'm at shul.

Kid-isms, the dictionary
Here are a few words the kids say, as well as their actual meaning:
Burn fire / Bird fire (E: "It's like a big big nest that lives in a castle!") = Bonfire
Water fall mountain = Water fountain
Neutrons = Nutrients (E: "This banana has lots of vitamins and neutrons!"
Fritato = Frittata (when meaning a Spanish tortilla de patatas, or potato frittata)
